About The Practice
The Cricket Green Medical Practice (formerly The Church Road Surgery) is a modern, purpose built surgery, established at its current site since 1989. This successful practice has developed from a single-handed practice set up 101 years ago and we have just completed centenary celebrations of offering primary care in Mitcham.
The practice has a long tradition of teaching and training, with the practice accredited as a “hub” University teaching practice and is responsible for training cohorts of medical students from St. George’s on a regular basis.
In addition to standard primary care services the practice offers many specialised clinical services.
The practice library is extensive and is constantly being updated in line with current clinical evidence.
The practice population has a diverse social and cultural mixture and the health needs of the population are challenging but also richly rewarding.
Car Park
Unfortunately, due to limited spaces the car park is for use by staff only.
Zero Tolerance
We strongly support the NHS policy on zero tolerance. Anyone attending the surgery who abuses the GPs, staff or other patients be it verbally, physically or in any threatening manner whatsoever, will risk removal from the practice list. In extreme cases we may summon the police to remove offenders from the practice premises.
Survey Results
We ask our patients to complete a questionnaire and submit opinions about our practice which helps us to improve the practice in running smoothly and efficiently.
