These are held on Thursday and Friday mornings. The anti-coagulation clinics are run by our practice nurses who have successfully completed their anti-coagulation training. Appointments for next anti-coagulation reviews are given to each patient every time they attend the clinic. If you do have to cancel your appointment please phone the surgery to let us know and re-book your appointment as soon as possible so that we can check that your INR readings are within safe range.

We do not run a specific clinic for diabetes. We will see you for your diabetes review at any time during our weekly appointments. Please, once you have had your blood test taken, book your appointment for review as soon as possible. Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a treatment derived from ancient Chinese medicine in which fine needles are inserted at certain sites in the body for therapeutic or preventative purposes. Cricket Green medical practice provides western medical acupuncture which is the use of acupuncture after a proper medical diagnosis. It is based on scientific evidence that shows that the treatment can stimulate nerves under the skin and in muscle tissue. This results in the body producing pain-relieving substances, such as endorphins. It is likely these substances are responsible for any beneficial effects seen with this form of acupuncture. Acupuncture may be offered to relieve pain, particularly for arthritis and other musculo-skeletal problems.
